This dataset provides the share of a patent's independent publication claims which are classified as process innovations as described in: “Measuring Product and Process Innovation from 1980-2015” (Davison). The measurement is available for all patents granted to U.S. publicly traded manufacturing firms that appear in the DISCERN database. The underlying code for the creation of the data is available at the following Github repository.
