MODERN METHODS FOR ASSESSING BONE DEFICIENCY IN DENTAL IMPLANTATION
收藏资源简介:
Bone deficiency is one of the most important anatomical factors affecting the planning and success of dental implant treatment. Accurate evaluation of the quantity, quality, and morphology of the alveolar bone is essential for determining the optimal implant position and the need for additional bone augmentation procedures. Modern diagnostic methods, particularly cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), provide detailed three-dimensional information about bone height, width, cortical thickness, and the relationship between the implant site and adjacent anatomical structures. The integration of CBCT with intraoral scanning, virtual implant planning, three-dimensional reconstruction, and computer-guided technologies significantly improves diagnostic accuracy and treatment predictability. In addition, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and three-dimensional printing offer new possibilities for individualized treatment planning. A comprehensive assessment of bone deficiency contributes to reducing surgical risks, selecting appropriate reconstructive techniques, and improving the long-term success of dental implantation.
