Nefertem

The child god Nefertem, who belongs to the Memphite Triad with Ptah and Sachmet, is depicted as a striding man with his left foot in front. The arms hang down vertically, the hands are clenched into fists. He wears a smooth apron with belt and on the head a three-part wig, at the chin the god's beard. His crown consists of a lotus flower with a pair of feathers protruding from its center; on the sides is the counterweight of a menite, on the back is an eyelet. Green glazed faience. Fractures and punctures on the legs and feet. Set on an unassociated stand plate, as the left foot, if fully preserved, would extend beyond the stand plate. (Fless 1997: 58)
