This study explores the use of Yersinia phage YR3 bacteriophages as a sustainable alternative to antibiotics for controlling Yersinia ruckeri, a significant aquaculture pathogen. Isolated from natural sources, the phages showed stability across a wide pH and temperature range and demonstrated strong lytic activity and rapid host binding in vitro, highlighting their potential for therapeutic application in fish farming.
