Whole genome sequencing of copper and sulfite resistant mutants of S. cerevisiae and S. paradoxus

The goal of this study was to assay the distribution of mutational effects regarding mutations that confer copper and sulfite resistance in S. cerevisiae and S. paradoxus. S. cerevisiae has adapted to these stressors that are commonly used in vineyards, whereas S. paradoxus has not. The sequences provided are whole genome sequences for both spontaneous and UV induced copper and sulfite resistant mutants of both species along with sequences from the copper and sulfite sensitive ancestors of these strains.
