Microbial composition and functionality in deep-sea sponges

Metabarcoding and metatranscriptomic analysis of deep-sea marine sponges. This dataset contains the metabarcoding sequences of Geodia barretti, Geodia pachydermata, and Pachastrella ovisternata included in the study, plus another 19 species, from shallow and deep-sea environments, added for specific comparisons.
