RNA-seq of HEK cells with optogenic MATR3 condensation. Homo sapiens

HEK293 cells expressing MATR3 fused to mCherry and SspB (MATR3-mCherry-SspB) and EGFP fused to iLID and FTH1 (iLID-EGFP-FTH1) were repeatedly exposed to blue light to induce MATR3 condensation. We prepared two control cells in which the condensation was not induced: the non-irradiated cells expressing MATR3-mCherry-SspB and iLID-EGFP-FTH1, and the irradiated cells expressing MATR3-mCherry-SspB and EGFP alone. Total RNAs were extracted from these cells and RNA-seq analysis was performed to analyze the role of MATR3 condensation in gene expression and RNA processing.
