Rehabilitation protection of environmental cultural Heritage / Saltwater Creek

Saltwater Creek is a place of natural beauty and a culturally significant site for the Taribelang Bunda Aboriginal people. It is home to native fauna and wildlife including turtles, possums, bandicoots, echidnas and more than 150 species of birds.

Works to be undertaken include:
´ Removal of exotic species and weeds, including vines
´ Removal of rubbish.
´ Water testing and monitoring.
´ Propagation and planting of local native tree species.
´ Logging and ongoing monitoring of flora and fauna species.
´ Building community engagement with, and awareness of, the area.
´ Ongoing training of indigenous rangers and building of culturally significant knowledge.
