<P>Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.</P><br>The aim of this survey was to investigate attitudes of Conservative MPs, MEPs and European Election candidates to a range of policy issues concerning European integration.<br><B>Main Topics</B>:<BR><br>The questionnaire covered key current issues and issues likely to become significant during the debates leading up to the 1996 Intergovernmental Conference. Questions covered Economic and Monetary Union and the ERM, European Union (EU) fiscal policy, industrial strategy, `subsidiarity', the 'social dimension', constitutional reform of EU institutions (including QMV), the sovereignty of the UK Parliament, jurisprudence, enlargement, and some more general questions about the EU.
