Experience of Physical Rehabilitation Among Individuals with Brain Injury: A Scoping Review

This scoping review explores the experiences of individuals with brain injury during the course of physical rehabilitation, drawing insights from a diverse range of qualitative studies. Through a thematic synthesis of existing literature, the study aims to identify and analyze how patients perceive and navigate the rehabilitation process. It seeks to uncover recurring themes related to perceived challenges, the effectiveness of interventions, and the emotional and psychological responses that emerge throughout recovery. In doing so, the review addresses notable gaps in the current body of research and highlights areas requiring further scholarly attention. Ultimately, by centering the voices of those directly affected, this study contributes to the advancement of patient-centered rehabilitation practices and offers evidence-informed recommendations for enhancing care delivery contexts.
