A Study of the Organized Leisure-Time Activities for Disabled Children, 1990

The survey casts light on after-school program for children with five different physical disabilities. The following disabilities were included: cerebral palsy, muscular atrophy, heart disease, diabetes and asthma/allergies. A questionnaire concerned with organized leisure time, contact with other kids in the same age group and friendship. Some of the questions for the parents focus on time of diagnosis, satisfaction with health services and the effect of having a physically disabled child on leisure time and contact with friends. The sample consisted of 600 physically disabled children in the age group 3-17 years who were members in organizations for disabled.
