DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS' SPEECH COMPETENCE BASED ON A COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH IN TEACHING THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

This article discusses the development of students’ communicative competence in teaching Russian in higher education institutions based on the communicative approach. The theoretical foundations of communicative methods, their implementation in the educational process, and ways to activate students’ oral and written speech through interactive teaching are analyzed. The possibilities of increasing the effectiveness of teaching Russian by means of information and communication technologies are also presented.
