Greenland 5 cryoconite and 5 ice surface samples over 21 days in summer (2022) Genome sequencing and assembly

In july-august 2022, Deep Purple ERC camped 11 km inland from Illulisat, Greenland at 69.43 N, 49.86 W, 680 m asl. The Greenland Ice Sheet's surface was snow-free between 1 July and 9 August 2022, with one snow event on 9 August which subsided by 13 August. Over a 21-day snow-free period, samples were collected from five specific cryoconite holes and five separate 2-meter strips of ice surface. Days sampled were 28 July, 01 August, 03 August, 07 August, 10 August, 13 August and 18 August. The sampling location was a 500x500m square which was visited, at most, every five days with field conditioned sampling tools. On each collection day, cryoconite sediment was taken and the ice surface was melted on filters.
