16S rRNA gene sequencing in mice cecal samples

We focused on Peptoniphilus gorbachii (PG), an identified microbial candidate for treating rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We investigated its impact on arthritis development, immune response, and gut microbiome using a collagen-induced arthritis mouse model. Our results demonstrate that PG administration significantly improves arthritis symptoms and intestinal homeostasis, offering promising avenues for developing microbiota-targeted therapies for RA. We believe that this project will interest the readership because it addresses the emerging field of microbiota-based therapies in autoimmune diseases, shedding light on the intricate relationship between gut microbiota, immune responses, and rheumatoid arthritis pathogenesis.
