The red cusk-eel (Genypterus chilensis) is an relevant fish species distributed along the coasts of the Southeastern Pacific Ocean, which has been considered one of the endemic species with high potencial for aquaculture diversification. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of thermal stress in the gills of red cusk-eel using RNA-seq data and denovo transcriptome assembly. For this we use RNA-seq of gills of control and stress groups to sequence with Illumina Hiseq technology.
