The BK virus-associated nephropathy is one of the major complications after kidney transplantation, which is caused by the reactivation of the BK virus infection during the immunosuppression process for transplantation. Distinctive expression of cytokine/chemokine and responses of innate immunity induced by infection were suggested to play a key role to Inhibition of infection. The current study further evaluates the role of innate immune response related to BK virus infection in kidney transplanted individuals.
