Whole-genome sequencing of Trichoderma asperellum RZ isolate, an rhizosphere isolate obtained from greater yam (Dioscorea alata) stem vine in Khandamal, Odisha, India. This strain exhibits strong antagonistic activity against fungal pathogens and plant growth-promoting traits in tuber crops. The genome sequence will be used to investigate biocontrol mechanisms, secondary metabolite gene clusters, and root adaptation in Trichoderma asperellum.
