Beet curly top virus (BCTV) is one of the most serious viral diseases, infecting over 300 plant species, including key crops like sugar beets, common bean, cucurbits, hemp, peppers, tomatoes. This virus is exclusively transmitted by the beet leafhopper (BLH). To understand the impact of BCTV on the biology of its vector, a comparative transcriptomic analysis was conducted to identify genes and pathways in BLHs that are significantly modulated by BCTV infection.
