Microbial Communities associated with marine macrophototrophs in the Northeast Pacific Ocean

The study conducted sampled microbial communities living on the fronds of Laminaria setchellii, the inner bulb of Nereocystis luetkeana, the blades of Phyllospadix scouleri and Zostera Marina, as well as the sediment and rhizomes of the aforementioned angiosperms. These samples went through metagenomic shotgun sequencing after which they were processed downstream for their metabolic capacities.
