The Compositae is the largest family of flowering plants, including many species of invasive and noxious weeds. Comparative genomics of these weeds identifies genetic features common to invasives and elucidates evolutionary processes. Transcriptome of Ambrosia artemisiifolia, A. trifida, Centaurea diffusa, C. stoebe, C. solstitialis, Cirsium arvense, Carthamus oxyacanthus, Helianthus annuus, H. ciliaris, Lactuca serriola, Taraxacum officinale will be analysed.
