On Ruin

The thesis contains two works that attempt to write into absence and silences, using emptiness as a mode of generation and reconstruction. The thesis consists of a novel-in-progress, titled The Museum of Explosions, and a short story titled Eater, Eater. Both pieces combine prose and poetry elements, and deploy surrealism/science fiction as a kind of New Realism, using speculative elements to give shape to the unspeakable.
