Data and code for: Long-term effects of invasive macrophyte removal on aquatic communities
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the data and the R analysis code underlying the study "Long-term effects of invasive macrophyte removal on aquatic communities" (Misteli et al., in review). The study uses a Before-After-Control-Impact (BACI) design to evaluate the long-term effects of invasive macrophyte removal on phytoplankton, zooplankton, and macroinvertebrate communities in two contrasting systems: Lake Grand-Lieu, France (emergent Ludwigia spp.) and Hartbeespoort Dam, South Africa (free-floating Pontederia crassipes). In each lake a control plot and a treatment plot were sampled before removal and one year after, and the change in the treatment plot is contrasted against the concurrent change in the control plot. The archive includes the per-community abundance and proportion tables and the functional-group lookup tables (Input/), and a single, fully documented R script (Long_term_Analysis_final.R) that reproduces all figures and supplementary tables in the article, covering univariate diversity, community composition (NMDS, PERMANOVA, indicator species), and functional-group analyses. See README.md for the data dictionary, code tables, and run instructions. The data were collected within the MadMacs project (Water JPI 2017 call).
