Porto Metropolitan Bird Observations — Extended Survey — Part 1 of 2

Other parts: • Part 2: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20731974 This dataset contains bird observation records collected over six months at five sites across the Porto metropolitan area, Portugal, from January to June 2026. The main table provides individual observation records with observation identifier, local timestamp, common and scientific species names, site identifier, individual count, anonymised observer identifier, and detection mode (seen, heard, or seen+heard). Supporting files include site and species reference tables, a data dictionary, and summary CSV files with monthly species counts and site-level species richness. Counts are integer values representing the number of individuals recorded per observation, and the data were collected using timed 10-minute point counts during morning visits.
