The dataset was collected as part of a research project focusing on the LLM's ability to detect misinformation. Using subreddits identified in Fakeddit:https://github.com/entitize/Fakeddit, posts spanning from Dec 2012 to July 2024 were collected.
The paper "Leveraging LLMs for Identifying types of Misinformation on Reddit" on the dataset is to be published at the workshop proceedings: DISMISS-FAKE'25: 1st Workshop on Disinformation and Misinformation in the Age of Generative AI co-located with the 18th ACM International Conference on Web Search and Data Mining (WSDM), March 14, 2025, Hannover, Germany
