This project investigates the temporal dynamics and spatial heterogeneity of microbial communities in a pilot-scale Sulfur-fed Vibrating Membrane Bioreactor (S-VMBR) designed for mainstream autotrophic nitrogen removal.To characterize the community succession and biofilm distribution, 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing was performed on samples collected over a 300-day operation period. The dataset includes:Suspended sludge collected at Days 0 (Seed), 30, 150, and 280;Biofilms on sulfur particles, including sedimented particles (from the bottom outlet) and floating fine particles (from the liquid surface) collected at Days 150 and 280.Sequencing was conducted using the Illumina Nextseq2000 platform to analyze the microbial composition .
