A new population of FRIIsquestionMark

Unification scenarios explain various flavors of radio galaxies and quasars withorientationdependent obscuration effects. Type2 FRII galaxies contain a quasarseen through a dusty molecular torus aligned with the radio jet. However, thereexist a population of FRIIs, found with Spitzer, that does not fit into thisscheme. These FRIIs exhbit highexcitation nuclear optical emission lines, butweak 15um luminosities. One possibility is very large obscuration;alternatively, they may be a genuinely different population.
