This study investigates the genetic control of continuous runnering in wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca). Genotyping-by-sequencing based QTL mapping was performed using an F2 mapping population derived from a cross between a continuously runnering Spanish ecotype (ES12) and a standard runnering Icelandic accession (ICE12). The sequencing data were generated to identify genomic regions associated with variation in vegetative and reproductive development, with relevance for understanding developmental trade-offs and informing future strawberry improvement strategies.
