Grassland, dataset 1

This experiment was conducted on September 26, 2014 at York university keel campus, on the grassland near Danby woods. Starting at approximately 3pm, the data was collected with three other undergraduate students, Anees, Jamal and Tarafdar. Starting at about 10 meters at the grassland, the chosen sampling method was simple random; the quadrant was placed down on the ground on the right, left, or front side (randomly by picking a number out of three) from the point of standing. The plot was observed and all data collected; then, 3 steps were taken forward in the facing direction before the quadrat was placed again. This was repeated 25 times, which took about 45 minutes. The temperature felt was around 26°C under the sun and 20°C under shade.
