Human milk mycobiota Metagenome. Human milk mycobiota

The majority of studies have focused on breastmilk bacteria, however, few studies in dairy animal and human have shown that milk also contain fungi. Bacteria and fungi colonization occur in parallel early in life and it is plausible that milk transfers fungi to the infant nasopharynx and gut. The origins and determinants of milk mycobiota is currently unknown.
