资源简介:
This repository provides the datasets and analysis codes used to estimate Normalized Regime Persistence (Γ) at the global scale, a metric used to characterize land–atmosphere interaction states. Normalized regime persistence (Γ) is defined as the ratio of regime persistence (γ) to the standard deviation of soil moisture (σ). Here, γ represents the probability that soil moisture remains within a particular evapotranspiration regime, either water-limited or energy-limited, which are separated by a critical soil moisture threshold.Using this framework, three distinct land–atmosphere interaction states are identified:Weakly coupled states – Typically associated with dry landscapes or dry seasons, where evapotranspiration is strongly constrained by soil moisture availability.Dynamic states – Represent transitional conditions, commonly occurring before or after rainy seasons and across semi-arid to sub-humid regions, where soil moisture variability leads to shifts between evapotranspiration regimes.Decoupled states – Correspond to wet conditions, often observed during the post-monsoon or fall season, where evapotranspiration becomes largely independent of soil moisture variability.ContentThe repository includes global estimates of:Normalized regime persistence (Γ)Land–atmosphere interaction statesThese datasets are provided for four climatological seasons:DJF: December–January–FebruaryMAM: March–April–MayJJA: June–July–AugustSON: September–October–NovemberAll datasets are provided on a global grid along with the MATLAB analysis scripts used to generate the results.ContactFor questions, technical clarifications, or collaboration inquiries, please contact:Sandipan Paul📧 sandipan.paul.ess@gmail.com🌐 https://sites.google.com/view/sandipan-paul
