Sequence reads from CSF specimens collected from patients with encephalitis without identified infectious etiology at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO, USA. Viral particle associated nucleic acids were enriched by filtration and nuclease treatment prior to extraction and random RT-PCR followed by use of the Nextera kit (Illumina) to generate libraries. The library was deep sequenced using the Miseq Illumina platform.
