Data for: An evaluation of the current Mentorship/Preceptorship practices for newly qualified Radiographers in Northern Ireland

There is limited literature regarding the transition of a newly qualified Radiographer into the workforce. This evaluation reviewed the current mentorship/preceptorship practises performed within Northern Ireland Trusts and sought opinions of Radiology Managers who prescribed, and newly qualified Radiographers who received, the programme. It established the effectiveness of mentorship/preceptorship practises currently delivered regionally, and determined whether it satisfied both parties in offering a thorough and consistent approach, capable of developing a confident and by measurable outcome, competent workforce. Benefits and limitations were identified in the current practise cited by those involved in the mentorship/preceptorship strategies and the discussion offers suggestions towards adopting/ creating a regional practice similar to that practiced in other parts of the UK. This in turn would promote best practise in welcoming the newly qualified Radiographer into their inaugural post and ensure comparable competency in practise across Northern Ireland.目前针对新合格放射技师（Radiographer）入职就业过渡阶段的相关研究文献较为匮乏。本评估针对北爱尔兰医疗信托机构（Northern Ireland Trusts）现行的导师带教制度（mentorship/preceptorship）开展调研，征集了制定该带教项目的放射科经理，以及参与该项目的新合格放射技师的意见。本评估明确了当前区域内推行的导师带教制度的实际成效，并验证该制度是否能通过全面统一的实施方式，满足双方需求，助力打造兼具职业自信与可量化能力标准的高素质从业队伍。参与该带教策略实施的人员梳理了现行实践的优势与局限；本次讨论还提出了参考英国其他地区的成熟模式，建立区域统一带教制度的建议。此举将有助于推广新合格放射技师入职首份岗位的最佳实践标准，并确保北爱尔兰地区各机构间放射技师临床实践能力的同质化水平。
