N2O-reducing microcosms were setup using acidic tropical forest soils collected from four distinct elevations in the Luquillo Experimental Forest (LEF) in Puerto Rico including the El Verde (EV), Palm Nido (Palm), Pico del Este (Pico), and Sabana locations.
