资源简介:

The provided dataset and MATLAB scripts support the analyses presented in "Multi-centennial spatial coherency among Atlantic tropical cyclones from simulated and reconstructed storm records." The data and scripts directly recreate Figures 2, 3, and S1 and can be adapted for reproducing other figures involving simulated storms. For paleodata resources, refer to Paleohurdat: (include link). The dataset LMR_Storms_All_ensembles.mat contains these variables: lat (575,000 x 400): Storm latitude recorded every 2 hours; zero-padding indicates storm dissipation. Rows represent specific storms and the columns represent observations along track. lon (575,000 x 400): Storm longitude recorded every 2 hours; zero-padding indicates storm dissipation. wspd (575,000 x 400): Storm wind speed (knots) at 2-hour intervals. year (575,000 x 1): Year of each storm; storms sequentially ordered by year (500 events per year from 850–1999 CE). month (575,000 x 400): Month for each observation along storm tracks. day (575,000 x 400): Day of the month for each observation. ensemble_list: Identifies which storms belong to each of the five ensembles. coastal_gates: Coastal locations (~7°N to ~60°N) defining the gates for analysis. Grid_2deg: Boundaries of the 2°x2° grid cells used in hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA). Scripts included: intersect_coast_correlation.m: Generates correlation matrix and bar plot (Figure 2). HCA_Analysis.m: Produces outputs shown in Figures 3 and S1, and data for generating Figures 4, S3–S5. The script allows selection of individual ensembles or all storms and adjustment of cluster grouping.
