Whole_genome_sequencing_of_a_collection_of_Vibrio_cholerae_isolates_from_cholera_patients_and_aquatic_environments_in_Bangladesh

We seek to analyze strains isolated from both cholera patients and the aquatic environment in Bangladesh, where seasonal epidemics of cholera occur every year.This proposal concerns understanding the changes in V. cholerae genomes over time both in the aquatic environment and in the human host. The results obtained from the proposed studies are likely to provide important insights of cholera epidemiology/ecology and strain emergence.
