The qPCR results of visual opsin genes and the beta-actin gene for different treatments can be found in the file titled "The effect of Carotenoid diet on visual opsin genes.xlsx". The raw data for female mating preference is available in "Fertilization231016.csv". The statistical results for mean and standard deviation (SD) values of proportional and relative expression for each cone opsin gene under different diet are presented in Table S1. Additionally, there are supplementary video files related to the article "Dietary carotenoids change cone opsin expression profiles in the eye but may not affect mating preference in female western mosquitofish (Gambusia affinis)". Video 1 demonstrates that the western mosquitofish is a surface feeder, while video 2 and video 3 show both male mosquitofish and guppy chasing female mosquitofish in the experimental tank.
