Freshwater bacterioplankton has been observed the worldwide distribution. The strains INBF002, TEGF004, and MORI2 were isolated from surface water of lake and river in Japan using the size exclusion assay method (SEAM). These strains were closed to the genus Limnohabitans (Lhab-A3 tribe) which has been reported by Newton et al. (Microbiol Mol Biol Rev., 75(1), 2011, 14-49.) as the environmental clone of 47 lakes. The Lhab-A3 tribe bacterial reads have been often obtained from surface water of lake and river in Japan.
