Grain size, x-ray fluorescence, and short-lived isotope data for sediment cores MAI35 and MAI49 from the western Gulf of Mexico

This data set contains grain size, x-ray fluorescence, and short-lived isotope data for sediment cores MAI35 and MAI49 used for a ~4500-year paleohurricane reconstruction in the Western Gulf of Mexico, off the central Texas shelf, USA. In addition to the core data, XRF and grain size data are included for modern central Texas environments.
