Digital Archive from a Magnetometry Survey at Wiveliscombe Roman Fort, Wiveliscombe, Somerset, August 2023

This collection comprises a report and vector, GIS, and geophysics data from a magnetometer survey at Wiveliscombe Roman Fort, Wiveliscombe, Somerset. This work was undertaken by SUMO Geophysics in August 2023. Several parallel linear anomalies on the northern limit of the fort are associated with defensive ditches, however, two of them extend away from fort and could be associated with different phases of activity. A rectangular enclosure is visible in the fort which measures 50 x 40m. Other linear and curvilinear anomalies include two tentative ring ditches and pit-like responses of archaeological interest.
