We investigated the pancreatic transcriptome of Btc mice and control littermates by microarrays to identify regulated genes that could mechanistically explain the protection of BTC against AP. Gene expression in murine pancreas was measured 3 hours after an intraperitoneal application of a single dosis of cerulein (cerulein group; 50 µg/kg body weight) or saline (sham group: 0 hours). Four animals per group were investigated at each point of time (cerulein group and sham group).
