This article examines the development of musical thinking through the bayan accordion from the perspective of a student performer. It focuses on how the complex technique of bayan performance, its wide tonal range, and the ability to simultaneously execute melody, harmony, and rhythm contribute to shaping the performer’s musical reasoning and listening skills. The article also analyzes the practical experiences of a student, the challenges encountered during performance, and methods to overcome them. The integration of theory and practice, functional harmony, and the development of rhythmic perception are highlighted as essential factors in deepening musical thinking.
