资源简介:

This dataset contains longitudinal survey data from more than 2000 individuals who have sustained moderate to severe Traumatic brain injury (TBI) over a 20-year period. It is an output of a project which has received funding from the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and is supported by the Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative. Researchers Jennie Ponsford ( Monash University) and John Olver (Epworth Hospital) have used their own Structured Outcome Questionnaire (SOQ) to collect data since 1990. In addition they have used the following instruments: Extended Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS-E), Sickness Impact Profile (SIP), Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), Craig Handicap Assessment and Reporting Technique (CHART), the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS) and the Drug Abuse Screening Test — 20 (DAST-20). Participants are invited to complete surveys and attend interviews with medical personnel. Some participants have been interviewed a number of times at intervals of 1, 2, 5, 10 (n=700), 15 (n=309) and 20 (n=53) years. Initial data collection is paper-based and all data is transferred into SPSS for analysis by the research team. Data is copied to a web-based system in the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health supervised by Professor Peter Cameron before it is entered into the Victorian State Trauma Outcomes Registry (VSTORM). Extensive publications provide more information.
