The Land Cover Dataset of Port Cities along the Maritime Silk Road utilizes multi-source, multi-scale and spatiotemporal remote sensing imagery such as Landsat and Sentinel collected from 1990 to 2020 to extract land cover data products for port cities along the Maritime Silk Road. This dataset covers over 40 major port cities across five regions, namely Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Africa and Europe, with a temporal sampling interval of 5/10 years and data snapshots in 1990, 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2020. This data product can be applied to studies including land use change analysis of port cities along the Maritime Silk Road and ecological environment monitoring of these port cities, and is of great significance for urban land use planning and the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative.
