Number of certified clinical psychologists Japan 2014-2023

In 2023, around 41.9 thousand licensed clinical psychologists were registered in Japan. Of the total, 678 people also obtained a medical license. It is required to complete studies at designated graduate schools and pass the exam conducted by the Foundation of the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists to become a licensed clinical psychologist in Japan.

至2023年，日本境内注册的执业临床心理学家约为4.19万人。其中，678人亦取得了医疗执业许可。欲成为日本执业临床心理学家，须在指定的研究生院完成学业并通过日本临床心理学家认证基金会组织的考试。
