Effects of Pr3+ doping concentration on optical properties of LaF3 crystal

Pr: LaF3 crystals with different doping concentrations were grown, and the crystal structure, composition, fluorescence lifetime, polarization absorption and emission spectra were measured. The influence of doping concentration on the spectral properties of Pr: LaF3 crystal is studied. The results show that high doping concentration will cause cross relaxation phenomenon, thereby reducing the upper level lifetime. The continuous visible red laser output is realized by using the crystal.
