These data files contain raw, anonymized response data, as well as a data codebook, from the author survey conducted in May and June 2015 as a part of the Pay It Forward project. The survey was distributed to approximately 15,000 academics at the University of British Columbia, The Ohio State University, the University of California, Irvine, and the University of California, Davis, and received an overall response rate of 14.1%.
Methods
Survey conducted using Qualtrics software. Respondents included faculty, graduate students, and post-doctoral researchers from the University of British Columbia, The Ohio State University, the University of California, Irvine, and the University of California, Davis. The survey was open from May 20, 2015 to June 10, 2015. IRB approval for this study was obtained by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Office of Research Compliance.
