资源简介:

This GIS layer is used for modelling activity based travel demand at BMC. The Baltimore region is based on the official TIGER 2010 TAZs. The rest of the area is based on a combination of the 2000 TAZs and 2010 TADs that WashCOG uses in their modelling. This file was additionally modified by BMC staff to show internal water bodies and the coastline. This layer is intended for use within the modelling group for analysis of activity based travel demand. If interested in TAZs in general they can be downloaded from BMC's Open Data site, or from the Census at ftp://ftp2.census.gov/geo/tiger/TIGER2010/TAZ/2010/. If interested in Traffic Analysis Districts (TAD's), they can be found at ftp://ftp2.census.gov/geo/tiger/TIGER2010/TAD/. Traffic analysis zones (TAZs) are basic spatial units of analysis facilitating the ability of transportation planners to forecast changes in commuting patterns, trip volumes, and modes of travel, and to develop plans to meet the changing demands for transportation facilities and capacities. Each TAZ represents an area containing similar kinds of land use and commuter travel. Date: 10/1/2016 Update: none planned, 2020 boundaries will be added separately Source: BMC
