Collection of wild Aedes albopictus samples from two sites in the city of Guangzhou (Canton) in the Guangdond district, China, and from the Eastern and Western sides of La Reunion Island (France). 30 Female individuals were pooled for DNA extraction and whole genome sequenced on an Illumina Nextseq instrument.The same pools were also used for RNA extraction and small RNA libraries were prepared and run on an Illumina instruments.Two samples from China and 8 samples from La reunion were sequenced. The purpose of the study was to screen samples for viral integrations and quantification of small RNA response in these samples.
