A Case Study of In-Vivo Core Narrative Identification and Its Alignment with the Fear of Abandonment in Borderline Personality Disorder
收藏资源简介:
This case study explores how a perceptive partner, outside of a clinical setting, intuitively identified the core fear of his partner with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). By stating "I have a fear of abandonment," he articulated the internalized core fear consistent with her behaviors and fear of abandonment. The partner with BPD's non-verbal reaction—rather than an expected "me too"—suggests that this core belief was deeply unconscious, yet powerful enough to drive her actions. One of those later actions was articulating the inner dialogue as well although delayed in emergence. This account, later clinically validated and the voice highly aligned with both the core fear and behavior, demonstrates a profound link between a fragile sense of self and the fear of abandonment in BPD, highlighting how an empathetic, non-clinical approach can reveal the painful, underlying truths that govern a person's emotional life.
