This study showed that FABP5 might play a role of oncogene through playing an auxo-action for the deposition of lipid droplets and FABP5 is involved in activating the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway. Moreover, those carcinogenic effects of FABP5 can be reversed by orlistat, providing novel choice for therapeutic intervention.
